Packing bags for a Holiday – Women’s checklist

When you travel are you a throw it in the suitcase and go kinda girl or someone who needs a detailed holiday checklist to work from?

If you’re the latter, what to pack for a holiday may be daunting. We have a quick checklist for you to ensure you have everything for your holiday!

Carry-on baggage –

  1. A large bag to travel with (Some breathing space left to fill stuff after shopping)

  2. Passport

  3. Phone

  4. Wallet – including currency or credit card, id cards

  5. Travel insurance info (just in case)

  6. Lip balm (to keep your lips moisturized)

  7. Moisturiser (under 100 ml)

  8. Spare comfy socks for the plane

  9. A warm jacket/shawl to keep yourself warm on the plane

  10. Book/Kindle (which you probably won’t read all holiday)

  11. Medicines if any

  12. Sunglasses for when you land at the other end

  13. Headphone/earphones

  14. Phone charger

  15. House keys/Car keys

  16. Hotel reservations with address and phone number

  17. Plane tickets (screenshots – if the internet is not available) or print out confirmation

  • Tank tops

  • Shorts of varying lengths

  • Intimate apparel

  • Short cotton dresses

  • A hat to cover your face

  • A pair of flip flops

  • A pair of hiking/running shoes

  • Cotton pants

  • Leggings

  • Swimwear/ Beachwear

  • Long skirts for conservative environments that require modesty — and they breathe better than pants

  • Thin socks

  • Long-sleeved shirts/Jackets for nights or to protect yourself from the weather change

  • Nightwear

Cold Climates

  • A few long-sleeved shirts for layering

  • Cardigans for layering

  • Sweaters and/or sweater dresses

  • A couple of denim pants or thick pants

  • leggings for layering

  • Thermals

  • Intimate apparel

  • Thick socks

  • Snow boots

  • 1 heavy coat/ Winter jackets/fur coats for extreme temperatures

  • A pair of gloves

  • Scarf

  • Beanie

  • Warm nightwear

Toiletries –

  • 1 hanging toiletry bag for easy use in shared bathrooms

  • Refillable travel bottles (shampoo, conditioner, face soap)

  • A small container of body wash

  • Face wash to

  • Facial moisturizer

  • Contact lenses (if any)

  • Travel first aid kit

  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss

  • At least one deodorant

  • Sunscreen

  • Tweezers

  • Nail clippers

  • Makeup

  • Towels (optional – will be available at most hotels)

  • Hair serum to keep your hair soft and moisturized
