Taj Express – 8 Days 7 Nights Tour : $1595 per person

Experience the richness of Indian culture on this classic tour of India’s Golden Triangle taking in Delhi, both old and new, the famous Taj Mahal in Agra and the stunning Pink City of Jaipur.

Day 1: Delhi

  • Welcome to India! Arrive Delhi airport and included transfer to your hotel. Overnight – Delhi.
  • Stay at: Welcom Hotel Dwarka – Delhi

Day 2: Delhi (Breakfast, Dinner)

  • This morning, our Welcome Meeting takes place. We’ll then enjoy a full day sightseeing tour of Delhi, taking in the impressive Red Fort, Jama Masjid – India’s oldest and largest mosque, Raj Ghat, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and a carpet emporium. Tonight, we enjoy a group Dinner at an Indian restaurant. Overnight at Delhi.
  • Stay at: Welcom Hotel Dwarka – Delhi

Day 3: Delhi – Agra (Driving Time: Approx 4 hours) (Breakfast)

  • Departing Delhi, we journey to Agra. Here we take a tonga ride to the legendary Taj Mahal. Built entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal has no peers. Continuing, we visit Agra Fort, which boasts some of India’s finest Mughal buildings. We also visit a marble craft shop. Overnight at Agra.
  • Stay at: Mansingh Palace – Agra

Day 4: Agra– Fatehpur Sikri– Jaipur (Driving Time: Approx 5 hours) (Breakfast, Lunch)

  • En route to Jaipur, we visit the awesome ghostly former Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri, abandoned allegedly due to a lack of water. We enjoy lunch at Chandra Mahal Haveli in Peharsar. In Jaipur, we visit a cotton trading / tailor shop where you can get clothing tailored for delivery to your hotel before we leave Jaipur! Lunch and overnight at Jaipur.
  • Stay at: Mansingh Palace – Fatehpur Sikri, Jaipur

Day 5: Jaipur (Breakfast)

  • Morning proceed to visit Amer Fort. Ascend the Fort in Majestic style on Elephants back. After journey to the 16th century Amer Fort later in the afternoon we tour the City Palace, which boasts an interesting museum of regal attire and Jantar Mantar, an ancient astronomical observatory. A photo stop at Hawa Mahal (The palace of winds) which is just a façade where royal ladies used to sit behind unseen during big royal or public processions on the main street of Pink city.
  • Stay at: Mansingh Palace – Jaipur

Day 6: Jaipur – Alsisar (Driving Time: Approx 5 hours) (Breakfast, Dinner)

  • Today, we drive to the semi-desert Shekhawati region. The small towns in this region became important trading posts, a lasting legacy of which are the beautiful painted Havelis (mansions) constructed by wealthy merchants in the 18th and 19th centuries. Afternoon village walk and time to relax. Dinner and overnight at Alsisar.
  • Stay at: Alsisar Mahal – Alsisar

Day 7: Alsisar – Delhi (Driving Time: Approx 7 hours) (Breakfast)

  • Returning to Delhi, the remains of the day are free for you to relax or perhaps do some last-minute shopping. Overnight at Delhi.
  • Stay at: Welcom Hotel Dwarka – Delhi

Day 8: Delhi (Breakfast)

  • Hotel check-out and included onward transfer to airport.
